Lately I’ve been noticing messages that are all about finding joy in the process, leaning into play.

Tyler the Creator’s mindset advice, “Create like a child and edit like a scientist.”

Several months ago I expressed my frustration to fellow artists about how my printmaking is the opposite of technical and perfect. I’m pulling dirty weeds from my garden, making prints in my dusty garage, and accidentally leaving prints out in the sun for much longer than they’re “supposed” to be. What a curse to be only given scraps of time and a musty space that make everything so haphazard!
